Using Live-Streaming to Engage Students

When students miss class, they miss content. A way to work around that is to use podcasts and live-streaming to engage students that miss class--as an added benefit, those that do come to class can use the materials as a review. Podcasts can be made using a simple recording system and then uploaded to iTunes. This resource is an excellent use of the coordinate plane and all the amazing things you can do with graphing in mathematics. Setting up an account is as easy as linking your Google account by signing in. Most of these applications are for high school, but they could be used in other grades as well. Explore Desmos!
